We at EVI are dedicated to making upgrades easier and economical
for our distributors, as well as, our end users. In this ever changing
EV industry the equipment both on-board and off-board the vehicle
has to have the ability change to meet the demand of evolution.
To this end, we are making available some PC-based utilities that
technically advanced personnel can use on their own EV equipment
or for infrastructure development and deployment programs. This
allows for up-grading software rather than having to completely
replace outdated equipment. Cost effective you bet! Knowing that
you are always at the cutting-edge of this evolving technology and
up-to-date with the OEM's vehicles or the growing energy management
demands, is a piece of mind.
In order to upgrade the ICS series equipment you will need to download
the program called MAGMA. We named it this
because we think its pretty hot stuff! This software gives you the
ability to accomplish several tasks:
- Change the characteristics
of the charge station itself (load management
parameters for example or reconfiguring demand or
economy modes, or factory settings, etc.).
- Gives you the ability to
up-grade the changes or enhancements of various OEM
parameters (vehicle or station).
- Diagnostics ability to
determine if it's the vehicle or the charge
- Data logging and historical collection (How many connections,
how much kWh used, how many charges, etc.).
For safety reasons, all of these utilities require an additional
device, this piece of hardware is known as a Field Installation
and Configuration System
or "FICS" to communicate
with the various ICS-200 series models mentioned above. Along with
the "PET" (go to the Products
Page and look for the test equipment section) your service ability
